Day 25

Day 25: A picture of your day.

A day in the life of Allie: Wake up at 6:30. First class at 8:00 in which I gave a speech, and turned in my final, and my portfolio. Classes @ 9, 10, 11 (in which I gave a final presentation). Pictures for LDSSA for next year (so excited!!!) Class @ noon (LDC) in which we continued to record for our CD. Break @ 1:00 in which I studied for my final which I took @ 2:00. Home @ 3:15. Lunch. Did random things/ chores for school/LDC. Talked on the phone with Tess for about a half hour. Decided I needed a break from homework, so I'm now updating my blog :) Next items on the agenda: Gym. HARDCORE. So much stress to work off. Play date with Tess. Learn songs for concert on Friday. Start packing up my apartment to move home next week. Study for finals next week. Holy cow, it's already 5:15?! Man, time flies when you're busy.

Day 24

Day 24: A picture of someone who makes you laugh

It doesn't take a lot to get me to laugh, so a lot of people make me laugh! But there are a few people who have been steady over the years and I think these people make me laugh the very hardest of all!

My parents. Funniest people walking the planet!

My siblings! They're such a riot!

VERN!!! (my grandpa!) EVERYBODY loves him and he is always the life of the party!

Brayden. Soooo many inside jokes and funny moments! He just has my ideal sense of humor so he can always make me laugh no matter what! One of the funniest nights I can remember was sitting in Braydens basement playing "would you rather/ what if..." with him, kurt, spenny, conner and both sam's... they're so dumb. Hahaha.

Stephanie Jensen (Miller)!!!! By far the most memorable laughing times of my life have been with her! We make eachother laugh to the point where we almost throw up... lol. Sick.

Ali Lente! Known this girl for... 11 years now? Wow that's crazy! Let's just say that I have a journal specifically dedicated to Ali, because we have so many funny stories/things/conversation that are so funny that I feel like I have to write them down! One of my favorites: one night I was laying in bed and it was about midnight. I was almost asleep when I got a text. I grabbed my phone and it was a text from Ali and this is how our conversation went...
Ali: ".....So, where exactly is the appendix located...?"
Me: " Like in a book or in your body..? Remember you're the scholar in this relationship so you should know where it is in a book.. cause I for sure don't."
Ali:".. Yeah the body... Dude, I don't know what's wrong with me right now.... I literally think I'm on the verge of death because my stomach hurts so bad!"
Me: (I shot straight up out of bed cause I started panicking.) "WHAT?? Dude, are you okay? What's wrong? Do you think you have appendicitis? Is your family home or do you want me to come over??"
Ali: ".. Ok, no it's not THAAAAT bad. But it still hurts. And my family is home. I think I'll be ok..."
Me: " So naturally you text me first to come and rescue you from your appendix when you're family is home...."
Ali: " Ok, I think it's just cramps actually. Alright I'm fine. I just wanted an excuse to text you I guess...."
 Lol. Classic!

Obviously...!

Gosh, there are so many people I could name.. SO many! You know who you are though :)

Day 23

Day 23: A picture of your favorite book.

Come on people, you know what I'm going to say....

PSYCH!!! Alright, fine. Harry Potter will always have my heart, but the Hunger Games series is quite phenominal! Read the first book in about 15 hours, and read the majority of the second book in about 24 hours. I still haven't read the last book, so the second finals are over you betcher' bottom dollar that's the #1 thing I'm doing!!

Day 22

Day 22: A picture of something you wish you were better at.

FALSE. I hate math probably more than I hate the Carpenters. Life would be so much easier if I were good at math...

At least I'm up to parr on my Harry Potter trivia ( I've given two speeches about Harry Potter in my public speaking class so far... maybe I should get a new hobby.)

Day 21

Day 21: A picture of something you wish you could forget.

Ok, these aren't pictures of the actual event, but it happened while tubing....

One time I was boating with my ward when I was about 15. We had been having tube wars for a long time and I was the only girl out on the water with at least 8 boys. If you've ever been tubing with me, you know that I get wild and crazy especially when I'm battling! There were two tubes behind the boat and everyone had been battling for a while. For some reason I thought it would be a really great idea to do this; I was trying to get the tubes together, so I had my feet hooked into the bottom handles of BOTH tubes and my hands were on the top handles of BOTH tubes... So I was on my back holding myself up on the handles of the tubes but I wasn't actually on the tubes, I was riding on the water, make sense? Well, I was wearing a two piece.... (see where this story is going??? I know I wanna throw up just finishing the story... ) All of the sudden I feel a lot of.. "breeze," and a lot of extra water... I look down and my bottoms are OFF; ALL THE WAY OFF!!! There was a couple of guys who were trying to knock me down and they saw the whole "ordeal." I looked down, noticed I was riding free, looked at the boy who was trying to attack me, kicked him in the face and let go.....

Yes, I was mortified; I still feel like I'm gonna barf everytime I think about that moment. Oh, did I mention that our dad's were in the bishopbric together at the time???? EW. EW EW EW.

Day 20

Day 20: A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Ireland

Greece

Nauvoo

The Sacred Grove

Day 19

Day 19: A picture of when you were little.

Second from the right :) Shawna Pursers dance recital!
Those were the glory days.....

Day 18

Day 18: A picture of something you're self concious of.

I have a lot of things I'm self concious of. I'm a girl, duh!

The older I've gotten the less self concious I've become of physical things. Don't get me wrong I still have days where I feel extremely uncomfortable in my own skin, but for the most part those worries have diminished. The things I'm self concious of now are different, like...

I'm scared of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. I'm scared of offending and hurting people. I have a problem with speaking in general sometimes because I can't really say what I'm feeling and put it into words that makes sense to others, hence the reason I'm obsessed with journals :)

... I'm terrified of singing solo's. But I do it anyways because I'm scared if I don't use my talent the Lord will take it away and give it to someone else who will actually use it and not "hide it under a bushel..." (can you tell it's Sunday? lol)

You know what I've learned recently about fears and self conciousness though? It would be odd if we didn't have them. Can you imagine how prideful we would all be if we didn't have insecurites? I think they are such a gift to us because it 1. keeps us humble and 2. actually builds our confidence. Instead of running away from our fears, why can't we try to face them and overcome them to turn them into strengths? If you would've asked me to sing a solo 3 years ago I would've said yes but I would've been almost paralyzed by fear. Now, I still get nervous but it's nowhere near where it used to be. I stopped hiding behind my fear and instead I started attacking it and look at the increidlbe opportunities that have come of that! So, fight your fears instead of hiding from them!

Me singing a solo in front of about 400 peeps while hosting/mcing the institute talent show...:)

Wow, sorry these are all so deep... hahaha

Day 17

Day 17: A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

I've made a huge goal to study the words of the prophets as much as I study the scriptures which is about 20-30 minutes everyday. If I don't have time to read a talk everyday then I'll read up to 5 in one day. Guys, I can't even tell you what a difference it has been making in my life. The Book Of Mormon is the most inspired book ever written because we are able to make modern day applications of ancient writings. However, the Prophets receive the exact revelation that we specifically need TODAY! I promise you if you make it a goal to even just read one conference talk a week, you will see the difference. You will feel closer to the the Spirit and I promise that you will feel more at peace, you'll feel clarity and that you'll feel generally happier!

Day 16

Day 16: A picture of someone who inspires you.

Especailly after the best General Confernce I think we've ever heard a couple weeks ago, these men have left me more inspired and motivated than I've ever felt before.

Day 15

Day 15: A picture of something you want to do before you die.

I have a dream... that dream is to start the slow clap in a large group of people, preferably at a sporting event. I've attempted who knows how many times and it has yet to work. One day though, it WILL work, I just know it...

Day 14

Day 14: A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.

Regenald!!!! You're the perfect friend for me. It's too bad you won't be able to read this, because of womens rights and all..... (so sorry, inside joke. Holler at Kar.)
Love you forever.

Day 13

Day 13: A picture of your favorite band or artist.

If you haven't already noticed, I'm not very good at narrowing things down. Especially when it comes to music! Music is such a huge part of my life...

#1 favorite band- Snow Patrol

They just get it. They keep getting better and better too which means they'll keep producing delicious music for me. :)

# 2 Jimmy Eat World

The epidemy of a solid alternative rock band.

# 3- Sara Barellis

She. Is. A. Genius.

# 4- Mindy Gledhill

If you haven't heard of her, then it's about time that you have! I've been listening to her for years now and just like a true musician, she keeps getting better and better. Her latest album, Anchor, is just phenomenal and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. She's an LDS artist, but Anchor is not a church CD. It has an Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Sara Bariellis feel to it. Her music is just so happy and uplifting that you can't help but be in a good mood after listening to it!

# 5- Coldplay
Their music is nothing short of inspiring. They sometimes leave me speechless.

Dang, that was hard to just pick 5! I love music more than I can say and I believe it has such a bigger impact on us than we may realize at times. The world today is getting so crazy and it's sad to see that something as beautiful and powerful as music has been turned into one of satans greatest tools to drive people away from Christ. I am a rocker girl through and through, however, the radio and rock music can be very trashy most of the time so I try to steer clear of the radio and degrading rock music and try my best to only listen to happy and uplifting music. Try it for a week! Try only listening to good, clean, uplifting music and see what it does for your spirit! Even better, try just listening to church music or instrumental and THEN see what you feel like after a week.... it's one of the best, most refreshing feelings I can think of :)

Whoa, sorry to get so deep on you.... calm down Al, it's just a blog post.... I apologize. Haha.

Day 12

Day 12: A picture of something you love.

Oh geez. I love soooo many things!

LDC. Best decision I have ever made in my life thus far.

 Meh. You guys are alright.

Singing/acting/performing! This is me hosting the institute talent show. To introduce the Disney section of the show, paul and I sang "True Loves Kiss" from Enchanted and this is me singing to my little animals. :)

Yes, I will marry you.

"Where dreams come true...." best place on earth!

Sometimes I like to pretend this is real life....

Yes yes  and yes!

Love my sib's!!

My rollerblading crew.... or the only aunt that will take them blading.

I'm watching it for the second time since yesterday right now...

There are few things more satisfying than a Tootsie Roll.

Day 11

Day 11: A picture of something you hate.

I would rather lick the bathroom floor of the gas station we stopped at in Reno than listen to the Carpenters.

Day 10

Day 10: A picture of the person you do the most adventurous things with

Too many adventures to count. We could write a book. Like Huckleberry & Finn.

Too many to count also. Breaking into Alta Canyon. Ghost hunting. Randomly having the cops show up at your house every few months for random things. The amount of people at your house on any given weekend in high school. Midnight hikes. Walking to Snow Shack/ Wendy's every night in summer. Dance parites in your basement. The amount of broken bones, doors, lamps, lights, computers, cars, and just about anything else breakable (or not breakable) that has accumulated at your house over the years. One thing is for sure, you were always the creator of everything fun and adventurous we did!

We met these boys the first day of college. After the first night of hanging out with eachother we all said "ummm, why has it taken us this long to meet eachother?" We were instant best friends with Jameson, Scott, Matt and Levi! I really think that we hung out with them every single day in college. One of our favorite traditions was when the boys would come over to make us pizza's at midnight! I feel like everything we did was in the wee hours of the morning... haha. Ultimate spoons. Dumpster diving at Krispy Kreme in the middle of the night for donuts. Prank wars (remember when you saran wrapped our toilets for April fools without us knowing??) Dance parties. The animal game. Riding through a car wash in the back of a truck. Miss you guys so much and can't wait to see you so soon!

Day 9

Day 9: A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.

Couldn't do it without Him. Want to know more? Click here on this link :)
